We live in a world with what seems like impossible beauty standers, with social media telling us we should be able to fit into children’s clothes and eat nothing but kale. We seem to have forgotten that we all have bodies and all of our bodies are amazing, real bodies are beautiful and real bodies are sexy. Our flesh and blood carry us through life asking for little thanks, boudoir is a perfect way to thank our bodies as well as celebrate them.

It has been a strange year since lockdowns, restrictions started and having clients return with stories of favourite Netflix series, obstacles working from home and their triumphs staying close with family and friends despite travel restrictions.

Covid Protocol

Boudoir sessions in my Calgary studio are still packed full of fun and images are as breathtaking as ever, but with our ‘new normal” there are a few changes to ensure client comfort and safety.

Greet you at the door in a mask and have hand sanitizer in ever corner of the studio.
Keep my distance and direct from afar.
Space sessions to give a little breathing room and offer a chance to sanitize between clients.
Makeup services highest care for sanitization.

Our modern world of online, social and screen capture culture is complicated. Day to day photos are one thing, but images of clients in their undies are quite another.

I am a very private person with my personal online presence, so I completely understand reservations about image protection.

The world of boudoir does make the conversation a little different, but I have firm promises to clients that include portfolio use as well as studio protocol ensuring each lovely lady joining me for their session is secure in the measure I take.

Privacy Promise

Private home studio. All client areas are for sessions only at that time and clients have separate bathrooms and changing areas exclusive to them.
Editing for my eyes only. This means that I edit client images in a secure space at a time where I am the only one accessing the before and after images
Secure image delivery. Uploading to the sharing site, clients receive a link to their images. It is up to you who you share the pix with after that. USB pickup can also be arranged for clients who want to skip the on-line delivery process.
Contract that outlines terms of use. The first line of the detailed contract is specific agreement for using the images in my portfolio. This means demo print albums and web/social media use. Some clients give a big “Yes, please!” and others a firm “No thank-you!” Because it is a complex subject, there are options for this.
- Selected image use. This is an easy option, where I would send my faves after the images are delivered as they will appear on my website. Clients can give a thumbs up to the images they approve for use.
- No face. This is a popular option for lots of women. Using the images that are sensual and sexy from the shoot but no defining features that can be identified as them.

Looking through client archives, I was so inspired by my lovely clients that I just couldn’t stop.

Here we have more of the boudoir clients that have warmed my heart and inspired me every day.

I am so thoroughly pleased to see the outdoor sessions we did along with the sessions in studio.
